IGL scouting checklist: six timestamps

Leadership talk gets mystical fast. This checklist keeps your eyes on pace, defaults, timeouts, and closing discipline.

IGL reviewing notes between maps

Nut graf

Evaluate IGLs as job-holders. These six timestamps prevent highlight bias.

Timestamp 1 — first default

Does the team reach a structured mid-round shape without chaos freelancing?

Timestamp 2 — first timeout

What changed after the timeout: pace, utility, or only pep talk?

Timestamp 3 — adapt after a lost pistol/open

Look for second-round plan quality, not only aim recovery.

Timestamp 4 — mid-series map pick response

How does the lead respond when the opponent’s comfort shows up?

Timestamp 5 — closing economy calls

Forced situations reveal whether the IGL’s risk language matches the team’s execution.

Timestamp 6 — post-map body language on LAN

Public LAN moments only. Calm resets matter; do not overread a single gesture.
